Looking After Your Jewellery

Every piece is handcrafted from 925 sterling silver or gold-plated silver, set with genuine labradorite. With a little care, it'll last — here's how to look after it.

Everyday Wear

• Put jewellery on last, after perfume, moisturiser, and hairspray — chemicals dull silver and gold plate over time.
• Take it off before swimming, showering, or exercising. Chlorine and salt water are especially hard on both silver and plating.
• Avoid direct contact with cleaning products, sunscreen, and household chemicals.

Cleaning

• Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to remove oils and residue.
• For sterling silver pieces, a proper silver polishing cloth will keep the shine without scratching.
• For gold-plated pieces, stick to a soft dry cloth only — abrasive polish can wear the plating thin.
• Never use ultrasonic cleaners, chlorine, or harsh jewellery dips on labradorite — the stone can be damaged by strong chemicals.

Storage

• Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box — metal-on-metal contact causes scratches.
• Keep jewellery dry and away from direct sunlight when not being worn.
• Sterling silver will naturally tarnish slightly over time when exposed to air — this is normal, and a light polish brings the shine straight back.

About Your Stone

Labradorite is prized for its "flash" — the way its colour shifts between blue, green, gold and violet as it catches the light. That's a natural property of the stone, not a flaw, and no two pieces flash quite the same way. Labradorite sits at a moderate hardness, so while it's suited to everyday wear, it's best to avoid hard knocks against stone benchtops or concrete.
